The RCMP is a progressive, transparent and proactive organization that believes in working in partnership with the communities it serves. One way the RCMP accomplishes this is by completing an Annual Performance Plan (APP).

The Annual Performance Plan is used by RCMP Detachments across the country to assist in meeting the goal of secure and safe communities. The RCMP uses this plan to focus on areas where attention is needed to improve public safety and reduce crime. While priorities such as traffic and youth are common, it is important to recognize that each community has unique needs. As priorities can change rapidly, this information is used to ensure that policing services are meeting the demands of the citizens we serve.

The Wood Buffalo RCMP is committed to preserving the peace, upholding the law and providing quality service in partnership with the communities it serves. In addition, the Fort McMurray and Fort Chipewyan detachments establish annual policing priorities that focus on issues identified by the public.
