RCMP Investigate Assault

On July 12, 2014 at approximately 2:45 a.m. Wood Buffalo RCMP received a complaint of an assault. The initial investigation revealed that a taxi driver had been assaulted by one of their fares after a verbal altercation ensued.

Police received information that during the altercation, two additional people tried to assist however departed prior to police arrival.

At this time assault charges are pending and the investigation continues. Anyone with information in relation to this occurrence is asked to contact the Wood Buffalo RCMP.
