Three Males Arrested in Accordance to Robbery

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On July 29th, 2016, shortly after 11:00 pm, the Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a call of a robbery that occurred at the park west of River Stone Ridge, in Fort McMurray. The initial investigation revealed that the victim and the suspects were at the park when three suspects robbed the victim at gun point. The three suspects stole the victim’s wallet and fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.

Police dog services attended the scene where they were able to track the suspects to their location on Powder Drive. The males were all arrested without incident and an air soft gun which had been altered to replicate a handgun was recovered.

Dylan JANVIER (20), Marcus JANVIER (20) and Adam SAMPSON (24) of Fort McMurray have all been charged with Robbery with a Firearm and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. SAMPSON has since been released.
