UPDATE: Wood Buffalo RCMP locate missing 77-year-old female

Fort McMurray, Alta. – Wood Buffalo RCMP has located missing 77-year-old Marguerite Simpson (Barillet) safe and unharmed. Police thank Fort McMurray Search and Rescue and the public for their assistance in this investigation.

BACKGROUND:

Wood Buffalo RCMP seek public assistance to locate missing female
Fort McMurray, Alta. – Wood Buffalo RCMP are urgently asking for public assistance to locate 77-year-old Marguerite Simpson (Barillet) who went missing in the evening of October 21, 2019 from a residence in the Thickwood area of Fort McMurray. Simpson has health concerns that make her memory vulnerable as well as mobility issues for which she uses a walker that was left behind at the residence. There is grave concern for her safety and well-being.
Marguerite is described as:
· Indigenous
· 5’5” tall
· Approximately 160 lbs
· Brown hair

Marguerite was last seen wearing:
· Green winter jacket
· Blue jeans
· Black boots
