Wood Buffalo RCMP arrest two after firearms complaint

Fort McMurray, Alta. – On Jan. 28, 2019 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a 911 call of a male brandishing two firearms outside a business on Franklin Avenue. At approximately 5:25 p.m., police received a second call of a similar nature between the Stone Creek and Eagle Ridge area and arrested a male and female suspect without incident.

On Jan. 29, 2019, Wood Buffalo General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at the suspects residence and located two replica firearms, both designed to use either BBs or pellets.

Keith Robert Bourque, a 31-year-old resident of Fort McMurray was arrested and charged with the following:
• Assault
• Obstruction
• Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
• Unauthorized possession of firearm
• Pointing a firearm (x2)

Margaret Fay Gladu, a 47-year-old resident of Fort McMurray was also charged with the following:

• Uttering Threats
• Assault
• Forcible confinement
• Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
• Pointing a firearm

Both of the accused were released after judicial hearings and will be appearing in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Feb. 20, 2019

As this matters is now before the courts, no further information will be provided.
