Wood Buffalo RCMP charge man with possession of stolen property
Fort McMurray, Alta. – On September 1, 2019, at approximately 5: 30 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a break and enter at a business near Anzac, Alberta where approximately $10,000.00 – $15,000.00 worth of tools, equipment, and electronics were stolen. After investigation, 52-year-old Garth Savoy of Fort McMurray was found with a significant amount of the stolen property, and has been charged. A search warrant was later executed on a vehicle and all of the stolen property has been recovered.
Garth Savoy has been charged with the following:
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00
Savoy was released and is scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on September 18, 2019.
