Wood Buffalo RCMP – Cocaine and Methamphetamine Seized in Traffic Stop

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On December 16, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a Wood Buffalo RCMP officer made some key observations regarding a vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on McLeod Street, which resulted in the arrest of a female adult.  Over 63 grams of suspected cocaine, 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime, and a few thousand dollars of Canadian currency were seized.

Tina Lynn Popowich, 41 year old female, of Fort McMurray, Alberta, has been charged with:

  • 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking,
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and
  • Fail to Comply.

Tina Lynn Popowich was to appear in the Fort McMurray court house, today, Monday, December 18, 2017.

This investigation is now before the courts. No further information will be released.
