Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section execute search warrant

Fort McMurray, Alta. – On August 7, 2019, the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant at a residence on Timberline Drive in Fort McMurray.

As a result of the search, RCMP seized approximately 28 grams of suspected cocaine, 122 grams of suspected psilocybin (mushroom), 231 grams of suspected “Shatter”, 1.1 kilo of suspected marijuana, 4.2 kilos of suspected marijuana edibles and over $10,000 in Canadian currency.

James Michael Harmon (39) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, and Chantelle Cardinal (29) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, were arrested and charged with:

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2)
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
• Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
• Unlawfully selling cannabis to an individual over 18 years of age under the Cannabis Act.

The court appearance will be in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on September 24, 2019.
