Fort McMurray, Alberta – A Wood Buffalo RCMP Municipal Traffic Section police officer made some key observations during a traffic stop resulting in two arrests and a drug seizure. Suspected drug paraphernalia which the police officer observed in plain view, led to the arrests of two individuals, and the seizure of 14 grams of suspected cocaine, 17 grams of suspected crack cocaine, Canadian currency, and other drug related items.
Autumn Taylor Marcel, 19 year old female, of Janvier, Alberta, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Her first court appearance will be on December 17, 2017 in Fort McMurray.
Douglas Allan Thomson, 50 year old male, of St. Albert, Alberta, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Douglas Allan Thomson had an in-custody hearing that was set for December 4, 2017, and has been held in custody and will appear in court today, December 5, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. in Fort McMurray.
This investigation is now before the courts. No further media releases will be sent.
