Wood Buffalo RCMP: Over 20 people charged in drug investigations

Fort McMurray, Alberta: From July thru to December 2017 the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section conducted several investigations in an initiative to target drug activity. These investigations resulted in the seizures of suspected Cocaine, suspected Fentanyl, suspected Heroin, suspected Marihuana, suspected Amphetamines, and Canadian Currency. More than twenty people have been charged as a result of the combined efforts of multiple units within the Wood Buffalo RCMP Detachment.

The purposes of these types of investigations are to detect and disrupt persons engaged in supplying controlled drugs and substances on the streets of our community. These investigations resulted in over sixty (60) charges to 21 individuals.

  • BULLOCK, Kassie, a 44 year old female of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • DARWICHE, Ali, a 40 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • DORMOUTH, Curtis, a 27 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • ELMI, Abdilahi, a 32 year old male of Fort Murray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • HALPERN, Cody, a 21 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 1 count of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • JANVIER, Joseph a 47 year old male of Janvier, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • KAMAL, Adnan, a 58 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • LEWIS, Cody, 28 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • LEBLOND, Jordan, 25 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 3 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, obstruction, 2 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of a controlled substance,
  • MOALIM, Abdirhman, 32 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, 5 counts of fail to comply, and fail to stop,
  • PENICHE, David, a 44 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • PENICHE, Jose, a 46 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • PICTICARIU, Andrei, a 24 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime,
  • PICTICARIU, Matei, 22 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 3 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime,
  • RILEY, Raymond, a 34 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 1 count of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • ROSIN, Vivian, a 45 year old female of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • SEREDA, Amanda, a 25 year old female of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 3 counts of trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime,
  • SINGH, Gurmeet, a 27 year old male of Calgary, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • SPENCE, Korey, a 26 year old male of Port Aux Choix, Newfoundland, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • TAYLOR, Dylan, a 29 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 2 counts of trafficking a controlled substance,
  • TEKIE, Zai, a 27 year old male of Fort McMurray, Alberta, charged with 1 count of trafficking a controlled substance,

Court appearances for these investigations began in October 2017. The investigation is ongoing, and may result in further arrests and charges.
