Wood Buffalo RCMP request public assistance in identifying robbery suspect

Fort McMurray, Alberta- On September 10th, 2018 at approximately 9:45 pm, a male brandishing a knife entered a business near Thickwood Boulevard and Woodland Drive in Fort McMurray. Upon entering the business, the suspect assaulted an employee and uttered threats. The male suspect left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Both employees were unharmed. The identity of the male suspect is unknown; thus police are requesting public assistance in identifying this robbery suspect.

Male suspect is described as:
• Height of 5’6”

Male suspect was wearing:
• Blue jeans
• White shoes
• Black hoodie with “Crooks & Castles” logo on chest
• Grey bandana
• Green & blue knife

The RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the male suspect by sharing the attached photograph obtain from surveillance. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Wood Buffalo RCMP detachment at 780-788-4040 or your local police.
