Wood Buffalo RCMP seek assistance in identifying suspects involved in a home invasion

Fort McMurray, Alta – On Mar. 13, 2019, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a home invasion in the area of Rainbow Creek Drive and Rattlepan Creek Crescent in Fort McMurray. Two male suspects entered the residence, one carrying a firearm and demanded money. The suspects fled with several items belonging to the occupants.

One occupant of the residence sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Suspect 1 is described as:
• Approximately 6’2″, between 180-200 lbs
• Muscular build
• Mid to late 20’s

Suspect 1 was wearing:
• Toque
• Grey or blue sweater
• Blue jeans

Suspect 2 is described as:
• Approximately 6′, 200 lbs
• Black hair
• Mid 20’s

Suspect 2 was wearing:
• Toque
• Black sweater
• Blue jeans

RCMP is actively investigating the matter and are asking anyone who may have knowledge of this incident, or who may have seen anything unusual, to please contact the Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4040, or your local police. If anyone has any surveillance footage of any suspicious activity recorded in the area, they are being asked to share the video footage with police.
