Fort Chipewyan RCMP lay firearm related charges

Fort Chipewyan, Alta. – On October 24, 2019, Fort Chipewyan RCMP were called to a residence in the area of Allison Bay, Fort Chipewyan. Due to the nature of the call, a containment area was set up and the residence was searched with the assistance of Wood Buffalo RCMP and Police Dog Services.

A 24-year-old male was arrested later in Fort Chipewyan without incident on the following charges:
• Unsafe storage of a firearm
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Careless use of a firearm
• Failure to comply with conditions

The male was released on a Recognizance with a scheduled appearance in Alberta Provincial Court in Fort Chipewyan on December 5, 2019.
