Man Faces Charges after Vehicle Hits Pedestrian

Fort McMurray, Alberta

At approximately 5:00 am on Saturday November 14th, 2015 two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Confederation Way and Millennium Drive in Timberlea. One pedestrian received only minor injuries and declined EMS treatment.  The other victim, a 30 year old male, suffered life threatening injuries.  He was transported to the Northern Lights Hospital and was later flown to the U of A Hospital in Edmonton.  He remains in critical but stable condition.

21 year old Drew SCOTT of Fort McMurray has been charged with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle causing Bodily Harm, and Criminal Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident.  SCOTT was remanded to custody and is scheduled to appear in court at 9:30 am on November 18th, 2015 in Fort McMurray.
