Wood Buffalo RCMP Arrest Four in Relation to Two Armed Robberies

Fort McMurray, Alta. – Following two unconnected robberies this past weekend, Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested a total of four individuals in association.

On March 14, 2020, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to an armed robbery on Thickwood Boulevard in Fort McMurray and three males have been arrested.

• Zakariya Abdullahi (23) of Fort McMurray, who has been linked to two other recent robberies, was charged with 3x Armed Robbery, 3x Disguise with intent to commit robbery, and Resist Peace Officer.

• Bilal Ahmed (22) of Fort McMurray, who has been linked to two other recent robberies, was charged with Armed Robbery and 3x Disguise with intent to commit robbery.

• Salah Tahlil (22) of Fort McMurray, was charged with Armed Robbery and Disguise with intent to commit robbery.

On March 15, 2020, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to an armed robbery near the intersection of Morrison Street and Franklin Avenue in downtown Fort McMurray and arrested a 26-year-old female of Fort McMurray with Armed Robbery and Theft of Car.
