Wood Buffalo RCMP arrest man wanted on numerous offences

Fort McMurray, Alta. –On December 3, 2019, the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team located and arrested a 31-year-old male and 25-year-old female within the Gregoire Lake Reserve, Alberta. The male, wanted on numerous firearms related charges, was located in a stolen vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of what appeared to be methamphetamine, firearms, stolen property, and evidence of drug trafficking.

Jeffrey Derrick Hefferan (31) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, was arrested for outstanding warrants, and charged with 29 total different offences, including, but not limited to:
• Possession of a firearm without holding a license Careless use of a firearm
• Possession of a firearm while prohibited
• Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Possess instrument for forging credit card

Hefferan was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Fort McMurray on December 16, 2019.

Daphanie Carol Lee Kreutzer (25) of Gregoire Lake Estates, Alberta, has been charged with 21 different offences, including, but not limited to:
• Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Unsafe storage of a firearm
• Possess instrument for forging credit card

Kreutzer has been released on a no-cash recognizance with numerous conditions. She is scheduled to appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Fort McMurray on December 16, 2019.
