Wood Buffalo RCMP charge man in break and enter of a residence

Fort McMurray, Alta. – On August 1, 2019, at approximately 11:10 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a break and enter in the Timberlea area of Fort McMurray. 27 year-old Adam Ross of Fort McMurray broke into a residence brandishing a firearm, he used the firearm to assault an individual who was in the residence at the time, then proceeded to rob the victim. The victim was able to call 911 after Ross left the residence. The victim was transported to hospital as a result of injuries suffered.

Adam Ross has been charged with the following:
• Break & Enter to a residence
• Robbery with a firearm
• Aggravated assault
• Possession of a prohibited weapon when knowing possession is unauthorized
• Possession of a weapon contrary to order
• Fail to comply with a recognizance

Ross remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on August 19, 2019.
