Wood Buffalo RCMP charge man in break and enter of a residence

Fort McMurray, Alta. – On August 29, 2019, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a break and enter and theft at a residential home in the community of Conklin. 31 year-old Sheldon Tremblay of Conklin, broke into a residence and demanded the keys to the occupant’s vehicle. The victim was threatened, but not physically injured, before Tremblay fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Wood Buffalo RCMP located and arrested Tremblay without further risk to the public.

Sheldon Tremblay has been charged with the following offences:
• Break & Enter and commit an offence in a residence
• Robbery with a weapon
• Theft of Motor Vehicle
• Flight from Peace Officer
• Assault with Weapon
• Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
• Fail to comply with a recognizance X3

Tremblay remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on September 3, 2019.
