Fort McMurray, Alta- In the early morning of March 18, 2020, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of a missing two-year-old boy, who had wandered out of his residence. General Duty Officers attended the Eagle Ridge area and immediately requested assistance from one of Wood Buffalo RCMP’s Police Dog Handlers.

A search of the area was completed and the child was quickly located by the police dog. He was found in good health, but cold. EMS was called to the scene to complete a routine check on the child’s health. The child did not suffer from any injuries.

“Children maybe anxious to get outside with all that is occurring right now, so please keep a close eye on them and secure your residences,” says Justin Robertson, Wood Buffalo RCMP.
